Which Category of Mindset Do YOU Belong?
There are typically two types of mindset- GROWTH Mindset and FIXED Mindset. Both mindset shows different attributes. And it is simple to judge if you know the innate characters.

American psychologist Carol Dweck is credited with the development of the theories of fixed and growth mindset. Her research is presented in her 2006 book Mindset: The New Psychology of Success.
The two mindsets have some fixed traits. A growth mindset regards practice and learning to increase abilities, while a Fixed mindset considers that abilities are certainly not developed.
Growth Mindset
People with this type of mindset are very optimistic, and chances are rare for them to suffer depression or any other mental illness.
Some of their characteristics include
- They are always ready to learn new things
A Growth mindset believes they can learn anything and can increase their capabilities. They are always willing to learn new skills.
- They are always open to feedback
Very often, they are eager to know feedback because they want to improve themselves. Such people take the comments very optimistically.
They take it as a chance to boost their qualities. Precisely, these people accept their flaws
- They are not afraid to take risks
This mindset people believe in taking risks because it brings changes. They consider that changes are always good.
- They accept challenges without any fear
They dare to face any challenge or situation. A growth mindset encourages one to fight back and not give up easily.
Fixed Mindset
Fixed mindsets are pessimistic. These people tend to create negative notions before any outcome. In this mindset, people substantially suffer from depression.
Some of the identifying characteristics of a fixed mindset are
- They are satisfied with their situation
Such people do not believe in changing their situation. They are satisfied with whatever they are having. This mindset is scared to suffer loss if they try for something new.
- They take feedback as a personal attack
A Fixed mindset does not accept their flaws and takes the comments negatively. They are very defensive.
- They believe that talent and intelligence are in-born
These people believe that nothing can integrate intelligence and skills. They consider to know their capabilities and boundaries. This opinion makes them think nobody can enhance or cultivate talent by learning.
- They stay away from challenges
A fixed mindset tends to avoid challenges. They regard knowing their boundaries which they assume is unchangeable.
